round and round
sure has been a long weekend! okie i'm still rather hyper but tired after everything...like i've done many things over this weekend hahax but it's a mental prep for the upcoming ya...platoon field camp + SPADE. like woah. hahax.
caught XIII after the bookout on sat (even tho the rest booked out on fri *sighs* but at least i got a good rest back at camp) wif xianlun...nt tt nobody didn't warn me about the movie but ya, it's just a lil disappointed at the abruptness of the mm (go catch it and you'll understand), and also the suddeness of the ending, rather anticlimax. CG wise, yar it's darn gud, and the fighting scenes were not bad too. but that's all that makes your money worth, so try to watch it on a weekday (hmmm for those people who are lucky enuff to be free on weekdays hahax). met a couple of familiar faces there too...tink saturday was spent mainly on walking. going in circles in the shopping mall and also ya...just a lot of walking. fortunately my knees getting better, so hopefully i can survive the field camp wif this better knee...rhumetism hahax.
sunday was rather well spent i suppose. visiting my grandparents in the afternoon, and ya i tink this urban modernisation has made singapore lose a lot of its local flavor. take tiong bahru for example. there used to be many shophouses, brick buildings and ya, traditional wet markets wif tt vibe and smell. it's quite rare to see these nowadays, especially the two storey shophouses. now after the renovation and shifting, they've sorta 'compiled' the shops into one modern building which altho looks more organised but the shops are much smaller. and the flavor is somewhat lost. tink it's because i grew up in one, and then after so many years there have been so many changes made, which ya...just feel rather sad for my grandparents who've been working and living there for so long, at least 30 years i suppose. all the childhood memories playing hide and seek in the shophouse, rearing catapillers into butterflies, and the intoxicating smell of chinese herbs...all gone to modernisation. *sighs* sounds rather gp-ish hahax, but i think part of me still lives in the past.
anyway, cantabile XX was such a success lar! sad thing is that i went there alone hahax...altho i met thomas there, he was like spreading news about me hahax. tsk tsk...you too! but ya, met jiali and her friends, which i must say were really nice. and christine and ruth were on stage emceeing lar! even tho i met them one week ago, we didn't meet for very long, so was really happy to see them again! the performances were great, esp the one which they had the claps and stomps (i forgot what's the title of the song liao...but ya it was really cute and funny lar!). the funky 5, the guitar, and the dancing...hahax must say the concert was really creative! really enjoyed myself...you guys were so high lar! so yep that marks the start of your hols, so do enjoy yourselves ya? shall leave it as it is...it'll be a long week, but i'll survive it, i hope hahax...jiayou!
*...i can't get this melody out of my mind!...*
