realise the future

in life, we make many choices that we sometimes cannot comprehend. there are many things that we do that we can't figure out why. life can be a mystery sometimes can't it? a lot of uncertainty, question marks and wondering. it can seriously be tiring sometimes, wondering about what life entails and what you want out from it. but i guess we're all like that sometimes, or if not most of the time...or maybe it's just me. haha.

hahax okie that was totally random...so yep just ignore tt...aniwaes class outing rawkx lar! a good 15 people turned up and yep it was pretty fun playing stupid games and captain's ball...but yar, i'm just really happy to see everyone again lar! usually i'm onli meeting a certain few, but woah, nt bad fer a change eh? and brings back a lot of memories...04Sulphate, our PE lessons and ya just everything we had in NJ...now we're all in different places doing different things, but i feel that our bond is strong and special such that we're still pretty closely knit eh?

i guess NJ, besides what other people out there might brand us, is nothing like that. or at least not just like that...hahax. but aniwaes, personally i feel that NJ is a mini haven that gives us opportunity to bond and provides a condusive environment (not only for mugging...hahax but also) for friendship and bonding between individuals. we're in a pretty sheltered environment where everyone is really nice, or at least, nicer than people outside by a bit (wif a few execptions, which is so rare). and also, the many activities that it organises really helps to bond us together (or even not, we'll do it by ourselves), like when can PE be so fun that we stay back after school just to play captain's ball? and have a venezia ice cream outing after tt? (even tho we know we'll get fat after that?) frequent class outings, opportunities of a lifetime like the taiwan immersion programme (okay tt happens in many schools but ya...nt all...yet hahax), maldives CIP (hey it's really great lor! actually it's indescribable, and somewhat now i feel, inDISPENSIBLE in any JC's curriculum...really miss those times back there), and so many different activities that make us who we are.(no, not muggers, but more of all rounded people...as in, not all rounded physically but ya in character and attitude) i miss NJ so much lar! seriously...the times with my classmates (very nice people...seriously...even tho some people tend to ps our outings sometimes, but most people turn up hahax!), times with the maldives gang (yays! kudafarians rock lar! so looking forward to our outing on the 30th!) and lastly the teachers who have made such a lasting impression on us. nt forgetting the food also too! hahax...memories will be memories, but if we cherish those moments, we will have the drive to create more memories!

NJ has definitely made me a better person. i'm now more fully prepared and yar, more hardworking (which does not equal to mugger...hahax i still have my staple hours of gaming back then), and (a little self praise...hahax bear wif it okie? promise i wun go too much!) yep become a much nicer person too! don't you guys feel the same way too? hahax...not abt me, but about yourselves! hahax i not so no shame xia...but anyway, yep i've seen many people transform through this journey, classmates (hmmm quite a no., but i dun tink i'm in the right to judge rite?) and the kudafarins (yep really a lot, and you guys are so nice lar! sugary delight!)...i'm sure you guys have bright futures ahead of you, so strive on! till now i'm still in contact wif most of mi classmates, and yep the kudafarians too...it feels really good to meet up again wif them, and i don't feel awkward too! you guys are so great lar!

phew...still doing up my wine bar, and currently having 15 bottles of wine (which hopefully the price will double over 3 years...1 with a grand vin classification! which means using superior grapes)...if there's anyone wif any ideas please tell mi! hahax thanks! and yep, just added a ::Ocean Wineries:: link area where they have all the online wine shops based in singapore, so pop by there and check it out if you're interested yep? still looking for wine khakis who are willing to join me in the quest for gourment wine!

o yar before this, comms ball was great! but ya as xianlun mentioned, the feeling is really different. it has nothing to do with your partner, your clothes or the food. nor the entertainment. and definitely not the organisers. it's just that you're feeling pretty weird. one thing is, yes this is a big event to signify the end of our journey. and the other is, it's the end of the journey as a cadet! which means the beginning of officership...sheesh...okie but aniwaes, i really enjoyed myself, wouldn't you say so too? *winkx* thanks for the christmas card! i can't believe you gave me the clip we got at "wood would"...it's so nice lar! thanks again! pass you yours soon! and yep it's really a happy occasion lar, mixed but still happy! will be missing some people tho, it might just be the last time i see them till timor barak run...and met some NJ people there too...steph who was group i/c-ing wif me during the zhenghua camp, and amada as well (tho she doesn't know me but ya, a familiar face)...pretty fun lar...but all in all i still have to thank my dear partner, stead! hahax thanks for accepting it and yep, walking down mount faber was fun wasn't it? :) yep!

merry christmas everyone! and happy birthday grace! hahax glad tt you enjoyed your birthday lar! and yep, take care everyone else. many important dates coming! and anyone gng out for countdown? maybe can pop by...okie lar too draggy liao, bless you guys!

waah happening xia!

hahax i just realise how much army has gotten into me. been really using many army terms such as "waah happening xia!", "up there lar!", "ehay...." (got it from nigel...waah the bug's spreading lar), "don't anyhow understand?" and lotsa other words...guess mixing wif my army cousins and my soon to be army cousin didn't help in kicking the habit hahax.

but o wells i did enjoy myself pretty much over there! berjaya times square that is!

i must say 1 year didn't feel like one, and certainly i feel pretty different. somehow i feel grown up. like i aged all of a sudden, but still young tho! aniwaes this year we tried something new...remember hearing all the advertisements from TV abt the grassland express? all the hype of spacious places, good entertainment and comfort? yep this year we decided to pay an extra $20 bucks (to and fro) for better comfort and entertainment, rather than the on-bus yellowball soccer or tai-di...and definitely it was worth it! of course the movies were nt really updated (electra, ice age, x men and some others), the music wasn't new (erm boyzone? backstreet boys? and a few new but not so new ones tt i can't remember), and the games were the ancient SNES games (tank, racer, cute fish, hahax...and EXIST! hahax something like feeding frenzy, but a much ancient version)...but definitely simplicity is bliss. hahax ice age is still as funny as ever wif the sabertooth squirrel, and us pressing each other's remote control buttons! was sitting next to mi elder cousin and had a pretty nice chat i guess, and also visiting my other relatives (some of them happily asleep on the bus). after tt watched a couple of movies and den slept...but it sure was happening! (ahh happening! shucks...)

berjaya times square was as busy and grand as ever...hahax i remember most of the 1st level shops, MNG, Dome, G2000, Starbucks, Metrojaya and lotsa other shops. and we were staying in the west wing, which had the big apple (the buffet restaurant which serves awesome breakfast buffet! their omelette was great, and together wif the roti prata...sedap!) and broadway lounge (which serves great cocktails, mocktails and house blends at a reasonable price, and also shows soccer!). sadly when we reached there they told us that our rooms we should have taken have been taken up by others, so we had to stay somewhere else. but tt somewhere else was the upgraded rooms! the best was my ah-ma's one which got upgraded to the biggest one, typical singaporean 3 room flat but for a hotel room it's freakin big! and it has a panaromic view of the twin towers lar! cool ain't it? hahax...wish i had tt room tho, but o wells ours was also pretty big. big enough for 3 people to jump around and run about hahax...

shopping there was pretty okie, because berjaya times square was a 12storey tall shopping centre with twin 45storey hotels side by side, it was a shopping heaven lar! found a few unique things there, and got a couple of shirts (one which writes "keep the court clean. trash your opponents" which i tot was quite cool) and a snowglobe.(which happens to be in someone else's hands now...hahax) of course there were cheaper alternatives, like chee-chiong-kai street where they sell pirated stuff (some original, but ya, pirated's still way cheaper). advisable to go there sometime tho, you should see their migration pattern when it reaches 5pm, then movable stalls come diving into the centre of the street in all, and i mean ALL directions! quite scary at first but ya, was a fun sight!

food there was pretty good too! of course the exchange rate made things lots cheaper, like Secret Recipe meal which costs SGD$19.95 in SG only cost RM$22 there, and also Dome which costs usually SGD$6 for a cup of hot mocha only cost RM$9.50 there. it's way cheaper, for the same good stuff of course! and of course we found other good food, like the ampang yong tao fu which was so good we had to order another plate. hahax food was wonderful. period.

of course you can't always 买东西,吃东西 rite? this ain't hong kong, but malaysia! we checked out their entertainment there...there was a similiar company to kbox called Neway Karaoke and their prices for their room (which had 2 screens and most new songs, + 2 free cocktails, + a free buffet which was nt bad at all) was only RM$30++ for 4 hrs, how cheap is that lar! but people who can't sing for nuts (aka me) will lose their voices over there (those whom i've talked to for the past few days...ya you know...hahax it's bad...). but yep had fun wif mi cousin and uncle...sang lotsa old and new songs until we all zao xia...hahax fun experience i must say. and altho nightlife there might not be as happening, there's this active LANing clan here in KL, like only RM$2 for 1 hr of DOTA for those interested...nt bad at all eh? but most of all, self entertainment was the cheapest hahax! staying in the hotel room with my cousins and uncles, and playing card games till early dawn...it's been really fun lar!

o wells that's it for the KL experience...it sure was fun to be there again lar! and so yep, some photos here for your viewing pleasure (if this tempts you to go malaysia again, i wanna go too! :) )

welcome to the social

wells i'm back! but totally erratic as usual...still in camp but ya, enjoying the privillages only for a few days more *sobs*

but how bad can it be when you're commissioning soon? hahax!

anyway, yep, had my fair share of pain and fun for these 9 months. and it's definitely it's been a really enduring period as an officer cadet. more than often you find yourself questioning yourself about what you've done right, wrong, and how to improve it. but most of the time, i find myself just dozing halfway in the process hahax!

okie i'm a lil shorta time here, so yep shall be totally erratic today...timeline!

+1 days : more parade rehearsals, and definitely more sleeping
+2 days : still more rehearsals, and happy hour!
+3-4 days : and more rehearsals, will they ever end?
+5 days : 1 last rehearsal, and the parade proper! can't wait to see all of you too! we've gone thru it together, and we're commissioning together! yays! to lead, to excel, to overcome! maybe a night of vodka and mahjong too!
+6 days : shopping with my fashion consultant (hahax i can't believe i even called you that lar!) but should be more fun than fashion i tink!
+7 days : first day being a STAFF OFFICER! yays! (shall explain tt some other time) but initiation will be quite a pain tho...
+8-10 days : more initiation i tink, hopefully nt...a lil worried where days seem endless...
+11 days : i can't wait to see you again! and in such an occassion! a ball to end it all, or does it mark a new beginning? i promise i wouldn't let you down!
+12-13 days : hopefully preparing for overseas, if i happen to get leave alrite...
+14-16 days : berjaya times square part 2! KL, here i come! ...

yep tt's abt it, time to go for my beep test! ciao! take care all! and hope prom was eventful for all of you!
