*phew* finally back eh? after close to two months of silence...yar it's been really tiring since the start of may, but if you're reading this, i thank you for visiting this space after all this while! it's already july, turning august, don't you just feel the heat of national day? (not literally of course haha)
aniwaes this two months have been full of interesting stuff i guess, things that made me think a bit about myself, and things that slightly made me worry, but nonetheless it was eventful!
*sighs*
but no worries, it's just a passing feeling. (thanks for being there as a listening ear...i really appreciate it) anyway today just went out with ruth n' jiali, it's been really long since i've met up with them! and ya, there's just this much of reminiscence in my head that tells me, hey i've got a great past, what's happening to me now? am i not grasping the best of my life, and why do i feel like i miss the past so much? there are always these questions that are left unanswered, or rather, i am afraid to face up to who i truly am now. personally i feel like my personality has been altered, even though people still feel i've not changed much (except for one that mentioned that i've matured haha!), i feel that ya, there's this side of me that has been lost to the environment that i'm in. i can't help but to feel sorry for the people around me sometimes, especially after all that has happened. but i'm trying, so please do stick around :)
anyway last week's ndp preview was pretty good i must say, so far the best. after getting back my original group leader, everything was fine (i must say bryan did an excellent job the previous week, but zhi heng's has been thru every other CR with me, so yep...aiyah the bottom line is both of you are great!) this time with slightly more people, we managed to get the public seated fast. it's slightly hard in ndp, everyone's fighting for the best seats, i wouldn't know who doesn't want the best for themselves, but this week the public has been really cooperative and i thank you guys for that! whoots orange sector! i hope all of you enjoyed the show!
the funny thing about previews are that, the people are simulated. it's just really funny what the MC reads out when these guys come in. "please rise for the arrival of the prime minister... ... ...simulated" den you can hear the crowd laughing. and then there'll be other people who come in including the "simulated" president, which i think the crowd were in unison when i heard some of them say "simulated" before the MC even said that. singaporeans are just such funny peeps don't you think so? and then followed by the "oohs" and "aahs" during the flypast, and the "whoots" when the dimsum dollies came out, really wanted to go to their concert but heard it's sold out! also, this week, the fireworks were great! anyone who knows me well knows i love fireworks, and i've tried to go for every fireworks fest that there were. it's just awesome with the difference kinds of fireworks and syncing with music. then this week the crowd was really cooperative, and when they leave, the smiles and "thank yous" make your job so much more worthwhile! thanks again for giving me a chance to be a part of this! i would be more than happy to take on this next year! it's pretty shiok really, although sometimes it's slightly tough to convince people that where they're sitting's good, it's fulfilling to know that you're part of this grand celebration for singapore's birthday!
just a few short thank yous before i continue...thanks again to all the wonderful supporters for being such an enthusiastic bunch of spectators! thanks to all the ushers and usher leaders who have been putting up such a great front despite various problems and difficult people...i know you guys have been doing a great job and kudos to all of ya for making this a success! thanks to all the department guys and that boss on top who i know will never read all this jibberish, it's hard but we're almost done with it! and thanks lastly to the organising committee for planning all this, it's the first time we're doing it at this location but it's been a good show thus far! *smiles*
phew...haha pretty high ain't it? definitely there'll be problems, but try to take everything as a learning point and in the end, things will turn out all right! anyway, i've been trying to meet up with all of my friends recently (or rather, they've been trying to reach me haha)...mahjong sessions, mini outings, breakfasts and karaoke sessions...because they are the people who matter most to me and even in the midst of your work, we must remember that they are always beside us and deserve a bit of pampering ya? haha just really greatful for all that have been bestowed on me thus far!
okay that's all for now, really drained and i think i'm outta ideas for now...mind's really gone wild and currently my inspiration has gone low again, but no worries i'll try to blog soon! take care all ya peeps!
