awaiting the long week

hiho! seems like there are always breaks but filled with nothing but nuah-ness. simply put, i've basically been slacking and doing nothing. kinda scary ain't it? even though i feel like i'm transforming into a couch potato, i secrety feel kinda happy :)

anyway, i'm currently waiting for my stolen company terminal to return to my hands, after a close to 4 hour knock-out when i was supposed to go for dinner. *sighs* sleeping spells again, coupled with a migraine...but all's well. i'm so looking forward to the end of this week lar. this sat i'll be going with the mini-maldives to "Jing Qu Jiang", sunday i'm not too sure what (maybe sushi?) and i have to promise myself to run within next mon-weds. i'm getting a tad, whatcha call that, plum and will hibernate if i seriously don't get my ass moving. to think that the impending date is close and i'm already feeling the nuah-ness. haha.

i've been doing basically nothing for the past few days of break. other than meeting some of the peeps on sunday and monday, i've been spending most of my days at home. and my new found hobby, watching anime! okay lar, not really new found, but i've been watching quite a lot of it i must say. of course some were good and some were bad, but most were awesome. Suzumiya Haruhi no Yuutsu, Ai Yori Aoshi (both seasons), Zero No Tsukaima (both seasons), Kimi no Nozomu Eien, Air TV, a bit of Myself; Yourself and yep. i guess what attracts me is mainly the animation and the storyline, and it captivates you easily. at the same time, i still think japanese is a beautiful language, and sorta learning at the moment. *phew* can't wait to watch more!

anyway i've gotta go back to work, so i will post more soon aye?

"i just wanna see you smile! :)"

dining pleasures

another long break! if you're wondering about the online streak again...anyway, i realised i haven't gone out for a long time, alone! haha...it's just every other time i go out, it's always with friends and family, so sometimes, chilling out by myself is actually a form of relaxation and self reflection. especially when you're always so tempted to shop for something that your friends have no interest in, you get what i mean? yep (:

anyway, dear maldivians, how've you been? i've been flipping through the photo albums and visiting the blog entries and all the memories that we had. not surprisingly, it still brings a tear to my eye how close we've grown because of it, our stupid moments (i remember i told someone to breathe through her nose when she had a headache haha) and all the things we've done. i'll never regret looking back and going through everything, taking the painful tetenus jab and sleeping at the sri lankan airport while trying to mug at the same time, enduring the 7 hour long boat ride with rush hour 2 blasting at the background, and also the physically close sleeping conditions. you have taught me about friendship and how to see past our flaws and appreciate who we are as people, as humans, and as a group achieving a common goal. i remember smiling without reason, i remember us living without technology, but i sure remember the voices and the pureness of your characters that have brought me to where i am today. i remember my days that you people made, and also the joy you've brought to me and others around us. remember our fried ice cream and the crew? and all the mass dances, birthday celebrations and outings that we had...lovely ain't it? i miss you guys a lot...and thanks again for being such a wonderful part of my life. i'll never forget you guys (:

i feel that i haven't been out for a long time. seriously. i mean, when i went to Plaza Singapura today, i got a shock that at least 75% of basement two (minus carrefour) has been transformed to a food palace. so many outlets for fast food and great desserts. cream puffs, cheese puffs, american and japanese alike, and they all look so good lar! after that, i met a fellow wine enthusiast cum wine promoter at vivocity marketplace who made me feel so "dui" that i did not visit the wine fair in vivo last sunday. i mean, chateau du pape 2004 was going at 48 bucks lar...it's such a good wine and yet i missed it! i stayed there for about 15-30 minutes just analysing the wine and trying some of my own. i guess it's high time i opened the Pinot Noir at home! and the moet & chardon special reserve champagne when i ord! but aniwaes, met up with seng and xl in the end for some sushi tei which we queued for a total of 30+ minutes...shall not go into the details yet but it was amazing lar! the food and the presentation...about 17 per person in the end...

aniwaes a bit tired now, so shall save the description of the food to absolutely alcohol tmr! take care!

i really hope you're okay...

Blue Doors Ahead

in case you're wondering, why have i been online everyday since last thursday, yes, i've been on leave since friday till today! even though yes, today is the last day, but i've enjoyed my past few days of (not really undisturbed) rest and i guess it's sooner or later right?

anyway, i caught "balls of fury" with qingzhen on friday. as what he mentioned, it was a pretty low budget movie, although there were a lotta funny moments in between. although i doubt things like these ever happen anymore, it's good to know sometimes that these gangs do exist. weird gangs that is. but o wells, never gonna happen in my life i guess. that's a good thing right? anyway, yep, other than the laughs, we went window shopping at taka for university clothes and found out how poor we were. simple pants costing up to $80 bucks, and then cardigans costing $60...waah. somehow you wonder, am i poor? or are the living standards in singapore increasing? just like how some people can afford a tissot watch of $39,000, god knows whether they are using shark's fin to wash their mouth. just my 2 cents worth on that.

saturday was another day out. met xianlun n' seng at clementi for some pool before we met up with shiwei for settler's at holland v. if you're wondering, settler's cafe is something like mind's cafe, and for those people who have never been to mind's, it's basically a cafe where peeps go to play board games. and if you think it's just monopoly, scrabble or jenga, you're in for a surprise! they have out of the world games, and it's hard to mention everything, and besides that, they serve food and drinks with it, which is pretty great. it's not very expensive either, so maybe you can pop by for a visit. anyway, we went to play some shooting game which was pretty lame, so basically you have 8 cards, 3 shooting cards, 1 quick shooting card and the rest are just fake shooting. so you have this foam gun which on 3, you point to the person you wish to shoot, and the person, on his judgement, chooses whether he should surrender or maybe declare that the card is a fake, and then the person who gets shot thrice loses the game. it's quite complicated to explain, but when you try it, it's really fun (and lame...not meaning you shiwei! haha!). after that, round two of board games at my house, this time, the usuals, mahjong with our favorite blends. speaking of blends, i've just started a new blog for wine, liquor and great food. it's absolutelyalcohol! (you can find the link under affiliates on the right from today onwards) and yes, it'll be featuring new wines, liquors and definitely excellent food to please your tastebuds. it'll be good for wine beginners and basically anyone who loves alcohol! definitely, the blog does not condone any irrational acts or alcoholic behavior, rather, enjoyment of the liquid kind. watch that space!

sunday was basically another nuah day...after all the late night mahjong there's always this recovery period, and then monday was out with my relatives for some great food! i love mondays with my family, because it's the only day i get to spend the morning with my mum away from work! and consequently, it was children's day, so my dad was on holiday too! (i'm not saying that he's a kid here, but haha....he teaches in a primary school lar) so we went for our breakfast at Ya Kun, great bread, a tad overpriced but it's still okay. lunch at 大长今. it's this korean restaurant that copies the name of the popular korean drama which features food and herbs. and then, a tea break at the coffee club at holland! waah...tt's a lotta food ain't it? haha...yep once a week, provided i'm away on monday. looking forward to more of such mondays!

anyway, that's all for today. pretty tired right now, so i'll catch a snooze and i'll be back on sat aye? take care!
