it sure has been a few days already. i remember that day where i feverishly churned out some stuff, working till the remaining hours on my job, and then stepping out towards the gates of freedom...it sure has been a memory.
well, another milestone in my life has just passed, which i'm sure for the hundreds of males out there who share the same milestone as me will gladly say so...we're free! ORD lo!
sensing this pleasure and enthusiasm, i guess we'll now set our sights on the world ahead. searching for what we once lost...searching for a life. well, maybe not to that extent, but at least some meaning.
it's just so hard to find a job that suits you aye? there are just so many factors, like salary, hours, traveling time, flexibility and stuff like that...i'm currently pestering one of the wine promoters to give me a job, and apparently there's an opening, so i hope i can work at least part time over there before i find a proper job for the next half a year. it'll be even better if it could be a full time job! but nonetheless, i'll keep my options open for the time being.
for the past few days, i guess i've been releasing all the burden from my shoulders slowly. tuesday was spent eating the day away and lazing away at home. wednesday was spent trying to frantically find a job with xianlun, only to find the company a bit weird and then we decided to give it a miss. after which was the NUS 歌谣 concert, whom yisin and i were cordially "conned" (haha) into it by jack, which i must say was pretty interesting. despite using the overused idea of time distortion, and some errors from the songs, it was a great overall production, considering the fact that they only took 3 weeks to prepare. that must explain why it only cost 3 bucks, but nonetheless, bravo to the performing and backstage crew! the rest of the nightly hours were spent dry swimming and with our favorite liquor, the Grand Marnier.
half of thursday was spent sleeping, while the rest of it was spent trying to find a job online, but to no avail. friday, on the other hand, was a surprising day. a new tuitee, and although i must say it was a little awkward at first, i really hope you learned something from it. i'm still gaining experience, so pardon me for the errs ya? thanks! after that was a wedding dinner at the hyatt! congrats to the bride and groom, you probably won't read this but well wishes! the dinner was not too bad, at least i had great company from jack all this while. it's been really long since the last wedding dinner...two years i guess? o wells...anyway it was the third occasion that i decided to wear all black, and it turned out pretty good ain't it? the other two occasions were prom night and social night, both big events that i had very fond memories of. really fond memories. anyway the wedding was a blast! i guess we did make our money worth with four glasses of wine eh? *smiles*
saturday started off with a late morning, followed by a visit to vivocity for the french wine fair! please, to all the wine enthusiasts out there, please go visit it! there are a lot of great offers out there, from du-papes and brouilly's to medium sweets and pink vodka, all which are on sale at a steal! so please, visit the french wine fair which happens to end on sunday (11th of nov) at the atrium of vivocity, you would definitely find something for your tastebuds! anyway, i bought about 4 bottles for $130, 2 whites and 2 reds. still within my reasonable range but it's quite a big hole in the pocket considering that i've been out of a job! later met up for kbox, nearly lost my voice again but it really was fun singing/screaming out with my cousins and uncle. pretty happening for a family i must say...we just haven't gone clubbing yet, so haha.
so there goes a week already. seems pretty fast eh? back for another week soon!
